Logo Design
Ponyo has a very iconic wide open-mouth smile, and the movie logo is a wordmark. I incorporated those two concepts into the Maruchan style while combining their names for this logo.

Product: Chopsticks & Chopstick Rest
Chopsticks would be a very practical product for an instant noodle company to sell. Conceptually, the opening scene of the movie is little fish Ponyo peeking out from under a jellyfish in the water. I took that visual and made it into the chopstick rest (sculpted from polymer clay) and put a water pattern onto the chopsticks. Other pairs shown are in the colors of the main characters. The ad is an Instagram ad in order to be highly accessible.

Product: Heated Lunchbox
The second main character of the movie, Sosuke, has a candle-powered boat that they use to travel around in the movie. The heated lunchbox has the design and colors of the boat while maintaining the candle (heated) characteristic. The advertisement is a shopping cart ad since this product--and any others from this collab-- is most likely to be found in a grocery store or supermarket.

Product: Ramen
The most obvious product would be the signature Maruchan noodles; in the style of Ponyochan, the cup is made to look like the green bucket that the kids carry around in the movie, and the flavor is ham because Ponyo loves ham. The billboard ad features an iconic scene in the movie where Ponyo is running on the water. In the scene, the sky is dark and stormy, but the sky in the ad is cut out so the environment can be the sky.
